Best Drug Rehabilitation proudly joined a select handful of community-minded organizations, including Ford Motor Co., Lear Corporation, AT&T, The Suburban Collection and others, in sponsoring the 9th annual Catch the Fireworks with Cass fundraiser on June 23, 2014.

The event, which was held at the Coach Insignia restaurant atop Detroits famed Renaissance Center and chaired by Detroit Pistons legend Isaiah Thomas, offered those lucky enough to attend a spectacular view of the fireworks, a dazzling food and beverage spread, and most importantly, the opportunity to help Cass Community Social Services (CCSS) carry on with its essential, life-changing work.

Established in 2002, CCSS delivers programs for food, health, housing and jobs to people living in areas of concentrated poverty across Detroit. Each year, the nonprofit organization serves one million meals, and provides temporary, transitional and permanent supportive housing for 285 homeless men, women and children. It also offers a free medical clinic and day program for 100 adults with developmental disabilities, and employs 70 adults within its Green Industries initiative that connects jobs with sustainability.

After donating funds last December to help CCSS make the holidays brighter, happier and healthier for kids in needs, it was an honor and a privilege to step up to the plate again and show how much we care about this vital organization, commented Best Drug Rehabilitations CEO Per Wickstrom, who went to the CCSS for food in his youth during his battles with addiction. The incredible staff and volunteers at CCSS are living proof that no matter how big, complex or overwhelming Detroits problems may be, we can and will solve them when we join forces and commit to making a positive, lasting difference!

Additional information on CCSS, including program information, ways to help, upcoming events and more, is available on their website at http://casscommunity.org/.
