MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WZDX) - Two teenagers are recovering after they were shot while horseback riding over the weekend.

Caleb Dollar, 16, and his friend Kaylee Hayes, 14, were taken to Huntsville Hospital Saturday night with gunshot wounds. Authorities say the teens were riding horses in the Asbury community.

Jordan Oliver, 18, allegedly shot the victims with a shotgun. He been charged with second degree assault. Dollar's grandfather, Jeff Mayes, said Oliver needs to be behind bars.

"Yeah, this makes me very angry. We are going to be nervous about letting them out of our sight. I think he should be punished, punished for his actions," Mayes said.

Oliver has bonded out of jail. Dollar was released from the hospital Monday afternoon. Hayes is still recovering from her wounds.
