FBI Wants Help Identifying 'John Doe 28', Suspected of Child Sex Abuse
BIRMINGHAM, AL (WZDX) - The FBI is asking the public to help them identify a man suspected of sexually exploiting a child.
The Birmingham division of the FBI released photos and information Wednesday about a man they are calling "John Doe 28." The unidentified man has been seen engaging in sexually explicit activities with a child, the bureau said. The images were first discovered by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in November 2012.
The man appears to be a white man in his 30s or 40s with a receding hairline and wearing wire-framed glasses and a burgundy T-shirt that has a logo of a shark on the left side. The video appears to have been shot inside a home with what appears to be a blue sofa chair and a picture hanging on a wall in the background.
The FBI released the images from the video in hopes someone would recognize him or the location where the video was recorded. Authorities said there are no details linking him to a particular state or region of the United States.
Anyone who has information about the man can submit a tip online at the FBI's website or by calling the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
