School Delays and Closings for Mon-Wed 1/6-1/8/14

Due to cold weather next week the following school systems will run on delayed hours:

- Alabama A&M University will open at 10 a.m. Monday.

- Albertville City Schools Closed Monday; Opening at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday

- Arab City Schools will delay until 10am on Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday's student holiday as planned.

- Athens Bible School closed Monday

- Athens City Schools closed Monday

- Bethel Baptist School closed Monday

- Blount County Schools- 2 hour delay Monday-Wednesday

- Boaz City Schools -Closed Monday, 3 hour delay Tuesday-Wednesday, Jan. 7-8

- Big Cove Christian Academy: Delayed 2 hours Monday

- Calhoun Community College: Opening at 10 a.m. Monday, Tuesday

- Cherokee County Schools will be delayed two hours Monday.

- Colbert County Schools- closed Monday, 10 a.m. start time Tuesday, Jan. 7

- Cornerstone Christian Academy- 2 hour delay Monday and Tuesday

- Country Day School in Huntsville will be delayed two hours Monday.

- Cullman County Schools will be closed on Monday and delayed two hours on Tuesday.

- Decatur City Schools opens at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Monday's teacher in-service continues as planned.

-Decatur Heritage Christian Academy- upper school 9:45 a.m, lower school 10 a.m. Monday & Tuesday

- DeKalb County Schools closed Monday

- Etowah County Schools- 2 hour delay Monday and Tuesday

- Fayetteville City Schools: Closed Monday, FAST Care to remain open

- First Missionary Baptist CDC and Academy in Huntsville opens at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.

- Florence City Schools will be delayed two hours for faculty and staff on Monday and two hours for all staff and students on Tuesday. Buses will run on a two-hour delay.

- Fort Payne City Schools will be delayed until 10 a.m. on Monday for employees and until 10 a.m. on Tuesday for students. There will be no breakfast or morning EDP.

- Franklin County Schools (AL) will be delayed two hours Monday and Tuesday.

- Giles County Schools closed Monday, Tuesday

- Grace Lutheran School: Delayed 2 hours Monday

- Greengate School – 10 a.m. start time Monday

- Guntersville City Schools will close Monday and be delayed three hours on Tuesday and Wednesday.

- Hartselle City Schools: Closed Monday, Delayed 2 hours Tuesday, Wednesday

- Huntsville Achievement School – 2 hour delay (10 a.m.)

- Huntsville City Schools – 2 hour delay Monday, January 6, but schools will open at regular time in case parents need to drop off students at usual time. Breakfast will also be served at regular time.  Employees to report at regularly scheduled time. No decision yet about Tuesday. Huntsville City Schools will delay the start of classes until 10:00 am Monday morning (1/6). Buses will run on a 2 hour delay.

- Jackson County Schools will be closed for students on Monday and start at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Teachers and staff should report to school at 10:30 a.m. Monday.

- The Jackson County Courthouse will delay opening on Monday until 10am.

- LaPetite Academy in Huntsville, Madison, and Decatur will open at 8 a.m. Monday.

- Lauderdale County Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay Monday (1/6) and Tuesday (1/7).

- Lawrence County Schools (AL) will be delayed 2 hours Monday and Tuesday

- Legacy Christian Academy in Killen will be delayed 2 hours on Monday (1/6) and Tuesday (1/7).

- Limestone County Schools closed Monday.

- Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lower School: Delayed 2 hours Monday, opening at 10:10 a.m.

- Madison Academy will open at 10 a.m. Monday and Tuesday; students are asked to bring their own lunches.

- Madison Baptist Academy will open at 10 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

- Madison City Hall will open two hours late, at 10 a.m., on Monday 1/6.

- Madison City Schools has announced a 2 hour delay Monday (1/6).

- Madison County Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay Monday (1/6) and Tuesday (1/7). Buses will run on the 2 hour delay.

- Marshall County Schools will be closed Monday and have a three hour delay on Tuesday and Wednesday.

- Mars Hill Bible School will open at 10 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday. This is for all Florence campuses of the school.

- Morgan County Schools closed Monday.

- Muscle Shoals City Schools will be delayed two hours on Monday.

- New Freedom Daycare in Russellville will open at 10 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, and extended care plans will be announced.

- Northeast Alabama Community College: Open Monday noon to 5 p.m. for registration only.

- Oakwood Adventist Academy: Delayed two hours Monday

- Oakwood University: Delayed Monday, offices and registration open at 10 a.m.

- Primrose School of Madison: Delayed until 9 a.m. Monday

- Riley Center in Huntsville – 2 hour delay Monday

- Russellville City Schools will be delayed until 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

- Scottsboro City Schools will be delayed three hours Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

- Sheffield City Schools will be delayed two hours on Monday.

- Snead State Community College delayed until 10am Monday.

- Saint Ann Catholic School: Opening at 10:00 AM

- St. Bernard Preparatory School will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

- Trinity Child Development and Trinity Place: open 10 a.m. Monday (1/6)

- Tuscumbia City Schools will open at 10 a.m. on Monday.

- Union Chapel Christian Academy/Child Development Center opens at 10 a.m. Monday.

- Union Chapel Christian Academy – 10 a.m. start on Monday

- University of Alabama-Huntsville: Delayed Monday 2 hours, opening at 10 a.m.

- University of North Alabama: Opening Monday at 10 a.m.

- Westminster Christian Academy, upper and lower levels, will open at 10 a.m. Monday.

- Wallace State- 10 a.m. start time
