GERALDINE, AL (WZDX) - A homicide investigation is underway in Geraldine, after the body of a man was found in a burned car.
The body was found at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said firefighters found the car burning in a wooded area off County Road 135, and discovered the body inside once they had extinguished the fire.
The body has been taken to Huntsville Hospital for an autopsy and identification. Harris said the case is being treated as a homicide.
