GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WZDX) - Authorities are investigating a missing person case in Marshall County.
Alabama Marine Police located a boat along the Tennessee River near the Guntersville Lock and Dam but have yet to find the boat's owner. A missing person report was filed by the manager of a marina after 57-year-old Jackie Rowell could not be contacted by telephone. Rowell reportedly told the marina he would stay in close contact while on trips and they became concerned when a few days had passed with no contact.
He is reported to have had medical problems within the past 12 months. At this time, sheriff's investigators are processing the boat and the Guntersville Rescue Squad has been dispatched to the area to assist in a search for Rowell.
Rowell left the marina on November 15th in a 1973 Albin 25 cabin cruiser and has not been seen or heard from since that time. Anyone with any information concerning Rowell is asked to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office.
