Groundbreaking on the site of the new Priceville High School.
Morgan County is set to start construction on a new high school. The school system held a ground breaking ceremony on Bethel Road at the future site of Priceville High School. The $25 million dollar project will be built for 600 students, but will have the ability to grow for 300 more.
Bill Hopkins, Morgan County Schools Superintendent, said, "We have an overcrowding issue at the present high school. The Priceville community is one of the largest growing communities we have in our area, so we felt it was time to build a new high school."
The Board of Education will start bidding out the project soon. It's slated to open in August 2015.
