More than one hundred tourism professionals are in Marshall County this week to talk tourism.

The two-day conference, held at the Guntersville State Park Lodge, focuses on helping communities like Guntersville capitalize on tourism opportunities like the Bassmaster Classic.

Organizers say the fishing tournament is going to be a major topic this week.

At least 5,000 visitors are expected during the tournament.

The local economy is expected to get a major boost.

Katy Norton of the Marshall County Convention & Visitors Bureau, says, "It impacts gas stations, retailers and shop owners, restaurants.  The entire community will see the impact of this."

The Bassmaster Classic gets underway in February.

55 anglers will compete for a cash prize of $500,000.
