Parents are concerned about mold in a Redstone Arsenal daycare.
Some parents at Redstone Arsenal are concerned about their children's safety.
They recently learned their child's day care facility on the Arsenal has mold. But, they should have answers soon.
Parents of children enrolled in the Mills Road Child Development Center on Redstone Arsenal were alerted to the mold Tuesday in a letter sent home with students.
Right now, students are still using the school because the mold is enclosed in the walls, and not exposed.
Samples of the mold were sent to a facility in Atlanta, and when those results come back tomorrow or Friday, the school could adjust their plan.
Christopher Colster with Public Affairs, Redstone Arsenal, said, "Once we know exactly what we are dealing with, we will know how to remediate it and at that time we might move the children out of the classroom and into anther building."
Any parents concerned about their child's health are encouraged to contact their healthcare physician.
