Businesses in the city of Boaz can now sell draft beer.
The City Council approved the measure this week after a local bowling alley applied.
This is a first for the city.
In order to be approved, a business must first get their state alcohol license through the Alabama Beverage Commission Board.
One local restaurant manager thinks this is good news for Boaz
Jacob Conner of Bubbarito's Restaurant says, "It will help bring more money to area businesses and revenue and what not. And personally i think it'll help bring good restaurants to the area."
The city of Boaz went passed an alcohol ordinance last December, but keg and draft beer was not included in the city ordinance.
