Police: Two arrested in Louisiana for kidnapping Huntsville woman
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WZDX) - Police in Louisiana said Tuesday a Huntsville woman was being held against her will and advertised online as an escort.
Lake Charles, La., police said they arrested two people Sunday and charged them with human trafficking and kidnapping.
According to police, the 19-year-old woman left Huntsville willingly Sept. 20 with Jessica Lynne Morgan, 24, of Shelbyville, Tenn., and Ivory Charles Pantallion III, 33, of Beaumont, Texas.
When the three arrived in Texas, police said the woman had her phone taken away and was shown a website where she was listed as an escort for men. Police said they stayed in Beaumont one night and then traveled to Lake Charles, La., where another escort listing was set up.
Police said the woman was able to contact her mother and told her where she was. The mother called police, who were able to recover her safely.
Pantallion and Morgan were arrested later at a local hotel. They are currently in the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center. Pantallion's bond is set at $1 million. Morgan's was set at $500,000.
