HUNTSVILLE Ala. (WZDX) - Redstone Arsenal officials held a press conference Monday, following the shooting at the Washington D.C. Navy Yard to discuss security and protocol on the Arsenal.
"We have a standard curriculum we go through in training for our responders, as well as we also evaluate other events that occur throughout the world. Anytime an active shooter event occurs we adapt lessons from those things as we need to and apply them to our situation," said Captain Bobby York.
York said Redstone is a very secure facility. He said every Arsenal employee plays a part, and that all employees are trained to look for and recognize indicators of a possible security threat.
