COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. (WZDX) - According to an affidavit released by investigators, Homajean Grisham, III admitted to stabbing his girlfriend, Jessica Broadfoot, to death in late June.

The affidavit states the following:

On June 28th, Grisham came to his father's house on Fossick Lane, saying he killed Broadfoot and had her body in his truck. His father told him to leave, then called authorities and gave them a description of his son's truck. They pulled Grisham over later that day and questioned him about the murder. After originally telling investigators he didn't kill her, he then took them to the field on his father's land where he dumped Broadfoot's body. Investigators then further questioned Grisham, and he admitted to repeatedly stabbing Broadfoot while they were traveling on North Pike before pulling off the road near the Natchez Trace Parkway, where he continued to stab her. He told them she died in the truck while he continued driving on North Pike. That's when he dumped her body in the field on his father's property.

Grisham is being held in the Colbert County Jail without bond.
