SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (WZDX) - A pilot landed his airplane on a golf course Thursday morning after having engine trouble.
Around 11 a.m., pilot Jeff Creel was flying from Huntsville to Fort Payne when engine trouble forced him to put the plane down on the Goose Pond Colony Plantation golf course.
Creel told WAAY 31 he would not have made it to Scottsboro's airport.
No one was injured. The plane was pushed to the side of the fairway to allow golfers to continue play.
Creel plans to fly the plane off the fairway Friday after getting the engine repaired.
