HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WZDX) - She already is immortalized on the Internet. Now, local artists are loaning their expertise to make sure Grumpy Cat is remembered in other mediums.

More than 30 artists at Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment have created Grumpy Cat paintings, sculptures and other art forms that are available in an online auction.

Money from the auction will go toward the artists who participated and for building a children's playground at Lowe Mill, located at 2211 Seminole Drive.

Grumpy Cat -- real name Tardar Sauce -- is a 1-year-old mixed breed domestic cat who skyrocketed to fame last year in a series of YouTube videos that in turn spawned hundreds of Internet memes.

The auction ends at 9 p.m. May 31 on lowemill.net. There will be a public art reception at Lowe Mill from 6-9 p.m. May 31 that will include a public art reception and a free outdoor concert.
