The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is looking at ways to improve roads in Decatur. It hopes to make changes to extend I-565 from I-65, all the way to US-31 north of the Tennessee River. Many options are on the table, including improving the many intersections in Decatur. Officials are asking for the community's input. The Department of Transportation and city leaders will hold an open meeting Thursday at 5:30PM, at the Turner Surles Community Center in Decatur.
