HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WZDX) - Cadence Bank is warning customers not to reply to text messages claiming their accounts are being suspended or canceled.

According to the bank, the messages are part of a phishing scam attempting to access customer accounts.

A message from the bank states that customers should never respond to automated messages in any form from a financial institution, and that the bank will never contact customers to request personal or account information.

Customers may report the messages to 1-800-636-7622. It also can reported to the federal government at reportphishing@antiphishing.org.
