1. Employees in a building on Redstone Arsenal were evacuated after a suspicious substance was found inside. Tests of the substance did not show any toxic materials.

2. Tony Bradford was arrested in Jefferson County and charged in the death of Deloris Lightford. She was killed on Maggie Avenue in Huntsville in June of 2012 with several gunshot wounds.

3. Jacob Shaffer will spend the rest of his life in jail after receiving his sixth life sentence today in Madison County. The convicted killer offered an apology to his victim's families.

4. Huntsville City Schools hosted parents Tuesday night to present the state of the schools. The new digital curriculum was among the topics of interest.

5. Industry experts say Alabama needs more nurses and truck drivers. State labor officials say registered nursing had the most job openings in the state in March.

6. A police officer crashed into a utility pole in Memphis. The officer was trying to make a quick turn to stop a motorist who wasn't wearing a seat belt when he lost control. No serious injuries were reported.

7. The US Treasury Department says it will pay off debt for the quarter. That's $35 billion of the national debt that is approaching $17 trillion.

8. Home prices reached their highest growth rate since 2006 last month. Low mortgage rates, a reduction in foreclosures and shrinking inventory of homes are believed to be behind the growth.

9. NASA is giving us a look at a hurricane on Saturn. Scientists believe the storm has been raging for several years.
