HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WZDX) Some people were fired-up at Thursday's night Huntsville City Council meeting.
The council is considering an ordinance that would change the way the city hands out permits.
The revision comes after clashes between protesters on this sidewalk at the city's abortion clinic.
Members of a pro-life group say it would prevent their right to protest on the sidewalk.
But, a pro-choice group welcomes the change and say it would help protect patients.
Reverend James Henderson, a pro-life supporter, says, "We have to stand firm for our right to be there. From a spiritual and religious point of view, from a law point of view. We have to be there."
Pro-choice supporter Pamela Watters says, "[It's] an ordinance which simply allows for an equitable and fair use of city property by all."
The pro-life group has obtained legal representation.
The council has postponed the decision yet again. Their next meeting is May 9th.
