Man Accused of Cutting American Flags Pleads Guilty

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WZDX) - A man arrested Monday and charged with cutting down American flags in the University Drive area pleaded guilty Wednesday morning.

Minh Pham, 44, entered the plea via video conference this morning in a Madison County courtroom.

He was arrested Monday for criminal mischief after police said he cut down flags at Burger King on University Drive, Holiday Inn Express on University Drive and the Academy for Academics and Arts on Poplar Avenue. The flag at the FOX54 station was also found cut down Monday morning.

According to police, Pham claimed to be protesting the war, but didn't say what war.
