Huntsville Doctor Pleads Not Guilty to Harassment Charge

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - A Huntsville doctor pleaded not guilty today to a misdemeanor charge of harassment.

Dr. Amish Bharat Shah, 39, has a trial date set for May 30.

Shah turned himself in to police Thursday and appeared in court Friday morning. He did not speak after his court appearance.

Shah is a kidney specialist and independent member of Huntsville Hospital and Crestwood Medical Center. A source close to the investigation said police launched their investigation in February after victims came forward.
