Franklin County, AL - Four people were arrested after 30 meth labs were found in Franklin County.
Sheriff Shannon Oliver said that a citizen called the Sheriff's department Sunday afternoon and reported seeing someone toss a shake and bake lab out the window and provided a vehicle description.
"During the process of locating them, they located numerous inactive meth labs that were on the side of the road that still had substance in it where it had been mixed," said Sheriff Oliver. "Some of it was still full but inactive."
While on the scene, deputies spotted the vehicle and arrested Jeff Hargett and Monica Young. Soon after, they arrested Addie and John Oliver at their home where more than a dozen more meth labs were found, bringing the total to 30.
"It definitely was a dent but there's a lot more out there," said Sheriff Oliver. "The only thing I have to say to the public is that their watchful eye and cooperation means a lot. It helps get it off the streets."
All four face more than 20 counts each on various charges including manufacturing meth, attempting to manufacture and drug paraphernalia charges. They are being held in the Franklin Co. jail.
