Bassmaster Classic Expected to Generate $24 Million for Guntersville
Guntersville, AL - In February 2014, 55 of the world's best bass fishermen will compete for a half million dollars in Guntersville, AL.
Steven Wray says he can't wait for the Bassmaster Classic. He is the owner of Guntersville Bait and Tackle. He says the tournament will be great for business. "It's beneficial to everybody, not just us. But we have restaurants and gas stations and everybody that's going to benefit from them spending money and the people coming here to watch them spend money," Wray said.
The Bassmaster Classic is expected to draw 5,000 visitors to town. The local economy is expected to get a major boost. The average economic impact for the Bassmaster classic is $24 million.
