Two people died in an overnight house fire on Walnut Grove Road in New Market.

The call came in just after 11:30 on Saturday night. Firefighters battled the blaze into the early morning hours.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Fire fighters believe a wood burning stove may be to blame. The home did not have electricity.
