Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for A&M Murders

Wilbert Smith will spend the rest of his life in prison. A Madison County jury found the 32-year-old man guilty in the shooting death of two Alabama A&M students back in August of 2008. Bert Jenski Peterson and Ronnie Pugh Jr. were killed on Hester Lane. Smith was convicted of capital murder and will serve two life sentences without the possibility of parole.
