Lit Gas Cans Thrown at Huntsville Homes

Police say a man was throwing lit gas cans in yards in North Huntsville.

The cans were thrown in at least two yards, one of them on Hilltop Terrace, just after 10 a.m. on Thursday.

A police spokesman said the person is driving a 2006 blue Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.

A police spokesman said the suspect, Craig Emerson, apparently had an altercation with his girlfriend and threw a bottle of something in a yard near her home that set a bush on fire, then caused minor damage at a couple of other homes in the area.

A gas can could be seen in the front yard of one home with blackened grass around it.
