Among Tennessee's 21 commits for 2013, none come from the state of Alabama. However, the Vols will keep six in-state prospects.
The class is highlighted by Defensive End Jason Carr from Memphis and Wide Receiver Paul Harris from Maryland.
Tennessee got two QB's with 3-star Riley Ferguson, a long time UT commit, and Joshua Dobbs, a 4-star prospect from Georgia. Dobbs flipped his commitment from Arizona State on National Signing day.
The Vols already have junior Justin Worley and redshirt freshman Nathan Peterman on the roster.
It was rough go at Running Back for the Volunteers. Derrick Henry chose Alabama. Then Derrick Green and Johnathan Ford signed with Michigan and Auburn respectiveley.
When the dust settled, 3-star Jabo Lee flipped his commitment to UT from Eastern Carolina. He was the only running back in the class.
In-state prospects Austin Sanders and Brett Kendrick will bolster the offensive line.
Carr is the standout of the class and should play early on defense. Early enrollee linebackers Corey Vereen and Jalen Reeves-Maybin are already on campus.
