Have you visited the library lately? If not, you'll be amazed at what you can find.

The Huntsville-Madison Public Library System offerings go far beyond books and computers. There are weekly events featuring art, reading, storytime, and science for kids, as well as special programs for home-schoolers. Book clubs are popular throughout the system, with genre groups ranging from sci-fi to romance to historical fiction to local history. The library also has a major archive of papers from throughout Alabama, which are very popular with people seeking out geneology information or looking for the history of their community.

The library also brings authors to the Tennessee Valley to talk about their work, meet the public, teach classes, and share their knowledge and talent with the community. Upcoming author appearances include Linda Howard, Irene Latham, and Beck McDowell.

Finally, the library hosts special events throughout the year, including Concerts in the Atrium, movie screenings, educational and travel talks, storytelling for all ages, and book sales.
