Talk of destroying the old East Clinton Elementary School is starting some controversy in Huntsville. Reportedly, the developer wants to demolish the building. The school was sold to the Broadway Group last month. The site has been vacant for 2 years. While some don't want the historic building to go, other say it's fair game to be demolished.
"If he bought it with no strings attached.. Then he ought to be able to do what he wants to with it," says Stella Wilson.
The Historic Preservation Committee will decide the fate of the school. That meeting is schedule for February 11th.
