The New Hope Indians used a night off on Tuesday to get ready for the final stretch of an impressive season.
Experience is the key for Coach Joey Parker's squad which is sitting in 2nd place in its area.
Defense is a catalyst to wins for the Indians.
"We try to run an up tempo game, off on steals and transition. We get a lot of fast break, easy points," says Coach Parker.
That up-tempo style has led the Indians to a 13-5 record so far this year.
In the past three games, they've averaged nearly 80 points a contest including an 89 point outing against Westminster. Coach Parker says his team is driven by experience and leadership. "No doubt it's been our seniors, that we've had this year. First year in a while we've had six seniors. For a small school, that is very big for us," says Parker.
Senior Guard Skylar Bearden adds, "We've been on Varsity for a year, we have six seniors, so that helps us out a lot."
New Hope has 4 games left in the regular season.
