According to pseudoscience, Monday, January 21st 2013 is the most depressing day of the year.
"Blue Monday" takes into account weather, debt, time since Christmas, average time since failing our New Year's resolutions, and low motivational levels.
All those things are said to combine to make the perfect Monday storm.
Huntsville psychologist Dr. Kenneth Sullivan says while there is no real proof of an actual most depressing day, Mondays in January can get people feeling down.
"Some Monday in January is probably the hardest Monday of the year for a lot of people, with the days getting shorter, getting back to work, so in the way the work load is hitting, the burdens and responsibilities can be greater on a Monday in January," Sullivan said.
He added that the best way to fight back against the Monday blues are to put some thing good in your day with a special food or activity.
