
Limestone County authorities say they have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with a recent vandalism at an area cemetery after a security camera captured an image of the suspect.
"When we got the picture out of the camera and it was on the news, one of my officers had worked Thursday night and he didn't see the photograph until Sunday. He remembered stopping this guy on Thursday night there near the cemetery," Sheriff Mike Blakely said.
Robert Allen Muse was arrested in Falkville Monday. He is charged with felony criminal mischief. Police say as the investigation continues more charges may be made.
"We do have a footprint from the second incident that occurred at the cemetery. The shoes that Mr. Muse was wearing today they look very much like the footprints, " Blakely said.
Hatchett Cemetery in Tanner was vandalized three times in as many weeks, uprooting and destroying dozens of headstones.
