Authorities are looking for four men who broke into a man's home, beat him and took his money and guns.
Lauderdale County Sheriff Ronnie Willis said the break-in happened around midnight Tuesday at Doug McGee's home on Longshore Drive, just outside of Rogersville.
Willis said four armed men entered through an unlocked door, beat McGee in his bedroom, forced him to open his safe and stole $5,000 and two handguns. The men left in a blue Chevrolet Impala with tinted windows.
"There's one way in and one way out of that subdivision, and we feel like someone probably saw the car," Willis said. "Somebody knows. If they had video at their residence and might have got a tag number off the car, please contact us."
McGee was treated and released from an area hospital. A woman in the home was not harmed.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office at (256) 760-5757.
