1. A train accident left a Lee student dead in Madison County. It happened this afternoon outside of Lee High School.

2. A Limestone County principal was fired over a sign. Johnson Elementary Principal Casey Lewis bought a sign for his school but never offered a bid to anyone else, which is state law.

3. Dozens welcomed a wounded Tennessee Valley Marine home today. Lance Corporal Kendall Bane was injured in Afghanistan during a shooting. This is his first time back to Alabama since the shooting.

4. Sergeant Priscilla Sheffler surprised her daughter at school via Skype. Sheffler is currently deployed in Quatar.

5. Images from NASA show the Northeast before and after Hurricane Sandy. The advanced satellite data is helping emergency response teams expedite their response to hurricane ravaged areas.

6. A Louisiana fire truck is making a second trip to New York. Eleven years ago, the "Spirit of Louisiana" helped after 9-11. Then, went home to clean up Katrina. Now, it is back to help with Sandy.

7. A former Elvis Presley guitar is one of 150 played by some of the best artists in music history on display in Nashville. The exhibit, called "The Guitar: An American Love Story", opened this week.

8. A Michigan father says his daughter's principal told his daughter she looked like a porn star and proceeded to detail exactly what a porn star does. He posted a sign on his truck to voice his frustration.

9. A candidate for city council in Kentucky finished in a dead heat. But, get this, his own wife didn't vote because she was sleeping. Now the winner will be determined by flipping a coin.
