A vote on booze on the upcoming ballot is stirring emotions in Boaz.
Shannon Pullen and his sister-in-law Tammie Thrasher are protesting the wet/dry vote by putting up opposition signs.
More than a dozen other residents names were forged on a petition list supporting a vote that could legalize alcohol sales in Boaz.
The Boaz city clerk received the petition in September. It has 1,600 names, but only 669 were registered voters.
The city is not required to verify that a signature is from a voter. Tammie Thrasher has contacted the Alabama Attorney General's office to report the fraud.
