1. A Jackson County man missing for a week was found dead in Flat Rock. Michael Harden Junior's body was in a creek near the Fabius Coal Mines.

2. The bodies of two teenage boys were found two weeks after the car they were driving crashed into a river. The bumper of that vehicle was found along 1-20 in South Carolina lead to the car upside down in the water.

3. The Boaz Youth Sports Complex was vandalized for the third time in two years. Police say Vandals slashed tires and tagged walls with graffiti Sunday night causing about $10,000 worth of damage.

4. Financial crisis for the Colbert County town of Leighton. City leaders say the town has about $1,500 in two accounts, not enough to pay its obligations.

5. A man who plunged off an Alabama toll bridge could face charges and have to reimburse searchers who looked for his body. A 911 caller reported seeing him jump. Video of the leap later surfaced on YouTube.

6. Disney bought the company that made "Star Wars" with plans to create and release the seventh movie in the series. Lucasfilm sold for just over $4 billion.

7. Truck companies are scrambling to hire new drivers as the US faces a critical shortage of truckers. The industry is expected to add 115,000 jobs per year and just over 1,600 Americans are being trained to fill them.

8. Crews in protective bee gear were helicoptered in to rescue two stranded hikers in Arizona after they were attacked by a swarm of bees. A third hiker was killed trying to avoid the bees.

9. The storm that includes the remains of Hurricane Sandy is still beating up the Northeast. Transportation is shut down and New York City isn't expected to be up and running for days.
