Toddler Hit and Killed by Car in Front Yard in Albertville

A toddler died after being hit by an SUV in front of his home, according to Albertville police.

The 2-year-old was in the front yard in the 500 block of Diane Street when he was struck by a Ford Explorer, police said. He was taken to Marshall Medical Center South.

Police have not released the child's name or any other information on the accident at this time. They are still investigating.
