Saturday was my first time to eat from 24 different bowls of chili, all before 10 a.m. I was honored to take part in a chili cook-off at Huntsville's 24-7 Health Club. The cook-off was part of the club's grand opening celebration, with all proceeds going to breast cancer research.
I ate 24 different types of chili because I was asked to judge the cook-off. It was a little overwhelming, but also a lot of fun. After we finished judging, bowls were sold and everyone had a chance to pick their favorite as well.
Along with the chili, there were also outdoor fitness classes (not sure if anybody ate chili before they worked out). The club offered free health screenings and had a bounce house and a dunking booth set up for the kids.
It was a good time for everyone involved and supported a very good cause.
Thank you to David and Karrah for inviting me to take part.
