Decatur Man Arrested for Passing Funny Money - FOX 54 WZDX – Huntsville News, Weather and Sports

Decatur police have arrested a man for paying fines with bogus bills.

Deborious Rashad Swoopes, 22, is charged with possession of a forged instrument.

Police say they received a report on July 18th that someone had paid fines at the magistrate's office with two counterfeit $100 bills. A warrant for Swoopes' arrest was issued Sept. 18th. He was located and arrested Oct. 5th.

Swoopes' bond was set at $5,000.
