1. Investigators say three attackers forced their way into a home on Ginnery Row in Toney around 5:30 Wednesday morning and assaulted a 16 year old girl who was visiting the home.

2. Larry Jarmon Jr. is now charged with attempted murder in a shooting in Tuscumbia. 23 year old Brandon Johnson was shot in the chest at a home on Hickory Street.

3. An overturned SUV on Interstate 565 near Sparkman Drive this afternoon caused big delays on the interstate. Three people were injured when 2 vehicles crashed. Police temporarily shut down the Westbound Lanes.

4. There is a new majestic entrance at the Botanical Garden. Five columns that once graced the third Madison County Courthouse were painstakingly moved to the facility.

5. President Barack Obama and Republican Challenger Mitt Romney squared off in their first televised debate Wednesday in Colorado.

6. Voters in the Buckeye State were so enthusiastic about casting their ballots many slept outside the board of elections in anticipation of early voting. Ohio is considered a battleground state.

7. A Florida woman could face charges for attempting to ride on manatees. Authorities are searching for the woman after photos popped up on Facebook.

8. Coca-Cola is knocking out all others as the most valuable brand in the world. The brand is valued at $77.8 million. That's five times higher than rival Pepsi.

9. It looks and sounds like war between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey. Video from TMZ shows Minaj, with pink hair, going ballistic in an argument with her fellow American Idol judge during a taping.
