Guntersville Schools Start Late While Police Search for Suspect - FOX 54 WZDX – Huntsville News, Weather and Sports

Guntersville city schools started on a two-hour delay Wednesday morning while police searched for an attempted robbery suspect.

School officials say the incident occurred around 2 a.m. in the 1800 block of Richardson Street. When police arrived, they went into the woods behind the home and heard gunshots. A perimeter was set up around the area as police searched for the suspect.

For the safety of students, police and school officials decided it was best to delay school.
