Moulton Police Officer Arrested for Child Abuse - FOX 54 WZDX – Huntsville News, Weather and Sports

A Moulton police officer is suspended with pay pending the outcome of a child abuse investigation.

Mitchell Breland is charged with two felony counts of torture and willful abuse of a child under 18. Moulton police Chief Lyndon McWhorter said Breland turned himself in to Alabama Bureau of Investigation authorities this morning.

McWhorter said he was notified in August that Breland was being investigated by the Department of Human Resources. He requested that ABI conduct a criminal investigation.
