1. A purse snatching at Bridge Street Wednesday night was the latest in a series of incidents reported to Huntsville Police. 8 purses have been stolen right from under the victims at area shopping centers.

2. Two people were killed in a three car accident that blocked traffic on North Memorial Parkway at Winchester Road. Four people were involved in the wreck around 2:30 Thursday afternoon. The two survivors were taken to the hospital.

3. The body found Wednesday night in the Tennessee River was identified as 40 year old James Robinson, Jr. of Decatur. Police are calling his death a suicide.

4. New Jobs are coming to Limestone County at Browns Ferry Nuclear Power Plant. TVA plans to add 100 positions in the next years as part of a plan to improve performance and safety.

5. Point Mallard Water Park is getting a big upgrade this off-season. Crews are breaking ground on a new 1,000 foot lazy river and splash pad.

6. Neil Armstrong was honored during a national memorial service in D.C.. Armstrong's burial at sea will be conducted by the Navy on Friday.

7. A Florida man was busted for operating a fake dental office out of his home. Police say he was practicing without a license.

8. The makers of the so-called pink slime are suing ABC News for defamation. Beef Products Incorporated is seeking $1.2 billion, claiming the network misled consumers into believing their product is unhealthy and unsafe.

9. Arguably the worst contestant of the X-factor premiere is defending his style and his criticism of the celebrity judges. Shawn Armenta says he'll never stop doing what he loves.
