
Tattoo on Victim's Right LegA body was discovered this evening in the Tennessee River under the railroad bridge between Morgan and Limestone County.
The body has been turned over to the Limestone County coroner and an autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death.
Members of the Morgan County Rescue Squad and Decatur Fire and Rescue arrived to assist in recovering the body. The Limestone County Coroner's Office was notified. The body has been sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Services for an autopsy.
There was no identification on the body. He is described as a black male, approximately 30-49 years of age. Investigators say he was about 5'5" to 5'8" tall and weighed about 140 to 170 pounds.
There was a long scar on his abdomen from his ribs to his pelvic area. He had short hair and a groomed goatee.
There were numerous tattoos all over his body. The picture to the left shows a tattoo on the victim's right leg.
