Random Shooting in Athens Sends Man to Hospital - FOX 54 WZDX – Huntsville News, Weather and Sports

Athens Police are investigating a shooting on Highway 72 East.

Chief Floyd Johnson says Noah McGlawn was in his car fired shots at a man riding a motorcycle, hitting him in the arm and back.

It happened around 2:30PM on Highway 72 East, near the Mooresville Road intersection.

The victim, Brandon Matlock, was flown to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. He's listed in stable condition.

We're told the suspect did not know the victim. McGlawn says he was just mad at his father and wanted to shoot someone.
