Jessie Phillips Sentenced to Death - FOX 54 WZDX – Huntsville News, Weather and Sports

Thursday morning a judge sentenced a Marshall County man who killed his wife and unborn child.

This past June, Jessie Phillips of Albertville was found guilty of capital murder for the 2009 shooting death of his wife, Erica.

Twenty three year-old Erica Phillips was 8-weeks pregnant when she was shot to death at a car wash outside Guntersville.

Jessie Phillips took off after the shooting, but later turned himself in and confessed to the crime.
