Weather conditions surrounding a tropical storm or hurricane can include isolated tornadoes and flash flooding – both situations which are addressed by alerting messages in Alabama SAF-T-Net.

All Emergency Management Agencies in the state are now able to send custom messages to Alabama SAF-T-Net subscribers in their respective counties. This capability will make it possible for EMAs to communicate pre- and post-event weather and related safety information.
