A man police say was involved in a convenience store robbery that lead to the death of his accomplice now faces a murder charge. 32 year old Courtneay Nance is charged with murder for the death of Rodney Pride.
Police say the two held up Atlantis Corner on Old Monrovia Road on May 31st. The store clerk shot and killed Pride. Now Nance's robbery charge was upgraded to murder under Alabama's felony murder rule because his alleged participation in a crime resulted in a death.
Nance is currently in the Madison County Metro jail with combined $200,000 bond.
