Jury Finds Tony Woods Guilty of Murder - FOX 54 WZDX – Huntsville News, Weather and Sports

A Lauderdale County jury has returned a guilty verdict of felony murder against Tony Woods. The Shoals man was on trial for capital murder shooting his ex wife, Tammie, to death in 2010.

The couple was divorced, but had recently rekindled their relationship. Woods' attorneys claimed that he started shooting at his ex wife because she tried to run over him.

The jury got the case at 11:00 Friday morning and returned their verdict before 8:00 Friday night.
