Hundreds of students and parents faced long lines in the heat today as they tried to pick up their laptops. The facility on Dunlop Blvd. opened at 10 a.m. and before long the line had stretched out the door and into the parking lot. As the heat climbed into the 90's, people started to get impatient.
On average, people said it took them about two hours to get through Wednesday's lines. But most agreed that the state of the art technology for each and every Huntsville City School's student was worth the wait.
Huntsville City School officials say they are doing everything possible to streamline the process and get people their laptops as quickly as they can.
